CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police say they arrested a man after a woman was found stabbed to death on the side of a road in east Charlotte.
Officers with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department were called to Bending Branch Road and Denbur Drive just after 9:30pm on May 4th to assist MEDIC. Once they arrived on the scene, they found 19-year-old Audeja Sutton dead from multiple stab wounds.
During the course of the investigation, detectives say they identified 20-year-old Tylek Hamilton as a suspect in the case. He was taken into custody and has now been charged with murder.
