CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police are investigating after a person was shot at an apartment complex in east Charlotte.
Officers with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department responded to a shooting at the Hampton Creste Apartments on North Wendover Road just before 1pm. This is next to The Home Depot. Once officers arrived on the scene they found one person suffering with a gunshot wound.
The victim was transported to a local hospital with life threatening injuries, according to police. No other details have been released at this time. Check back for updates.
