Two Arrested During Maiden Traffic Stop After Officers Reportedly Find Methamphetamine

MAIDEN, NC — Police have arrested two suspects charged with felony possession of methamphetamine.

The arrests were made during a traffic stop shortly after 11pm on May 5th. Police say they observed several used and uncapped hypodermic needles, as well as other drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle.

A small amount of methamphetamine and a loaded .40 caliber pistol were also found following a search, police say.

The driver of the 2004 Honda Element, 39-year-old Jeremy Howard, and his passenger, 34-year-old Elizabeth Bailey, were both taken into custody.

Howard is charged with Felony Possession of Methamphetamine and Driving While License Revoked.

Bailey was arrested on an outstanding warrant from Gaston County for Failure to Appear.
