1-in-10 Americans Would Rather Spend Time Behind Bars Than Move

It’s no secret that moving can be stressful, but would you rather serve jail time than pack up all your stuff and relocate?
1-in-10 Americans say they would prefer to spend a week behind bars than experience the stress of moving.

That’s according to a self storage company Life Storage, which surveyed 2,000 Americans.
Nearly a quarter of the people polled say moving is more stressful than planning a wedding or a job interview.
The same poll found that it takes the average american around two and a half months to pack everything thing up and nearly four and a half months to completely unpack.

So, what else would Americans rather do than move?
According to the company Zulily, 29% say they would rather spend an hour at the DMV.
23% would rather sit by a ‘Chatty Cathy’ on an airplane.
21% would rather add an hour to their daily commute.
17% would prefer to spend every holiday with their in-laws.
