Police Arrest Man Wanted For Cutting Off Electronic Monitoring Device

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department says Allen Blakenship has been located and arrested.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The CMPD is asking for assistance locating a man wanted for disabling his electric monitoring device.

Allen Blankenship, 21, is wanted for Assault with a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Injury, Damage to Property and Interfering with an Electronic Monitoring Device

Blankenship was ordered to wear a monitoring device as a condition of his pre-trial release. On May 12th,  Blankenship cut off his monitor and was last known to be in the area of 1712 Oak Ridge Drive, Charlotte.
