CMPD: Suspect Wanted For Armed Robbery Strikes Again

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police are still trying to identify a suspect now wanted for two Charlotte area armed robberies. Officers with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department say the suspect struck again when he robbed a Boost Mobile on Wilkinson Boulevard around 12:20pm on May 12th.

Police say the suspect was armed with a box cutter and verbally threatened the store clerk before taking off with stolen property.

Just after 1pm on May 4th, officers responded to Metro PCS on Westerly Hills Drive off Wilkinson Boulevard in reference to an armed robbery.

Witnesses told officers that the suspect entered the business and made casual conversation with the employees before grabbing one of the employees and trying to cut them with a knife.  The suspect is then accused of demanding money from the cash register.

The suspect is described as a black male, between 5’8″ and 6′ tall in stature, a slim build, and roughly 40 to 50 years of age with light beard. During the May 4th robbery, police say he was wearing a red long sleeve shirt with light blue jeans, a black beanie with writing and gold rimmed sunglasses.
