STATESVILLE, NC — The North Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly pedestrian involved accident that occurred Wednesday night.
The accident reportedly happened around 7:20pm on I-77 southbound at I-40 (near Exit 51). Troopers say Anthony Ravenscroft, 32, was hit and killed after witnesses described him darting across travel lanes and into the path of a southbound tow truck.
There were no other injuries reported in the accident.
The NCHP says the investigation is ongoing.
