Two York County Men Face 27 Charges Related To Child Sex Crimes

CLOVER, SC — The South Carolina Attorney General’s Office says two York County men are facing 27 total charges connected to the sexual exploitation of minors.

Nathaniel Arguedas, 20, and David Johnson, 54, both of Clover, were arrested after an investigation into CyberTipline reports obtained by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). Both of the men are accused of distributing and possessing files containing child pornography.

Authorities say Arguedas is also accused of soliciting and engaging in criminal sexual conduct with a minor.

Arguedas was reportedly arrested on April 30th and has been charged with two counts of criminal sexual conduct with a minor, one second and one third degree; one count of criminal solicitation of a minor, a felony offense punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment; two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, second degree, a felony offense punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment on each count; ten counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, third degree, a felony offense punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment on each count; and one count of dissemination of obscene material to a person under age twelve, a felony offense punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment.

Johnson was arrested on May 16th, authorities say, and is charged with one count of sexual exploitation of a minor, second degree, a felony offense punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment; and 10 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, third degree, a felony offense punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment on each count.
