Longest Pedestrian Suspension Bridge In North America Now Open In Gatlinburg
GATLINBURG, T.N. — The longest pedestrian suspension bridge in North America just opened in Gatlinburg, Tennessee.
The SkyBridge stretches 680 feet across and features glass floor panels in the middle so you can stand and look below. The walking path is five feet wide and the bridge is 140 feet high at it’s midpoint.
The SkyBridge officially opened on May 17th and WCCB viewer Debbie Harley sent us these pictures from opening day.
Visitors can walk across the bridge at their own pace and admire the beautiful scenery of The Smokies.
Tickets are $19.95 for adults, $14,95 for juniors, $17.95 for seniors and children under three are free. Gatlinburg is less than a four hour drive from Charlotte.
