Was The ‘Game Of Thrones’ Finale Satisfying?

The very last episode of ‘Game Of Thrones’ is now the most watched show in HBO history after record 19.3 million viewers tuned in Sunday night, but not everyone liked what they saw.

Angry fans are tweeting #unsubscribe to send HBO a message.
Some called out the series for making fan favorite characters suddenly unlikable.
Some fans found the final episodes to be rushed, while others complained that not enough happened.

The critics haven’t been much kinder; Sunday night’s episode currently has only a 50% rating on the review site Rotten Tomatoes.
Game of Thrones star Kit Harrington, who plays John Snow addressed the bad reviews in a recent interview with Esquire.
“Whatever critic spends half an hour writing about this season and makes their judgment on it, in my head they can go [blank] themselves,” Harrington told the magazine. “Because I know how much work was put into this.”

Meanwhile, a petition calling for a complete re-do of Season 8 now has more than a million signatures.
Actor Kristofer Hivju, who plays the character Tormund, addressed the backlash in an interview with CNN.
“When you have a TV show where you kill the main character in the first season, then everything can happen,” Hivju told the cable network. “Game Of Thrones doesn’t follow the rules of storytelling. Its stories follows the rules of life.”
