The Heat Stretches On
Hot and sticky weather will carry us right into the holiday weekend. Temps today will top out near 90 degrees. A weak cold front will bring a chance for scattered storms on Wednesday (20%) with temps topping out in the low 80s. From that point forward. temperatures will launch back into the upper 80s for Thursday with a stretch of mid 90s possible through Memorial Day. All time record high for the month of May was 98 degrees set back in 1941. But, we could break some single day record as we get into the weekend…
Sub-Tropical Storm Andrea:
The first named storm of the (pre) season developed yesterday. Right now the storm is 300 mi SW of Bermuda with sustained winds of 40mph. It will continue on a northerly track for a few more hours before gradually turning east. Likely this storm will dissipate by tomorrow night. No threat to land.
