Man Robbed At Gunpoint After Being Lured To Indian Trail For Sex
INDIAN TRAIL, NC — A man was robbed at gunpoint Saturday morning after authorities say he went to a home expecting to meet a woman for sex.
The crime happened at a Crismark Drive home around 3:30am. Deputies say the 27-year-old victim had allegedly arranged to meet one of the suspects, 30-year-old Sandra Medina, at the home to have sex in exchange for money.
When he arrived, the victim told deputies he messaged Medina and was told to come inside. Once he entered the home, deputies say a man, later identified as Wilmer Prudente, 22 of Concord, robbed him at gunpoint.
Prudente reportedly told the victim that Medina was his “girl” and he would shoot him if he ever came back.
Medina had rented the upstairs portion of the home, deputies say, where she and Prudente were found. Medina’s three children were also inside the home at the time of their arrest, according to officials.
Investigators say they also found a trafficking amount of heroin along with methamphetamine, marijuana and an AR-15 style .22 rifle during a search of the home.
The Union County Sheriff says Medina and Prudente face multiple charges, including Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon and several drug related offenses.
