Pep Rally Scheduled For Wednesday, June 5th To Welcome Panthers To Rock Hill, SC

ROCK HILL, SC — The City of Rock Hill will host a pep rally on Wednesday, June 5th to welcome the Carolina Panthers to the area.

The event will take place at 10:00 a.m. at Fountain Park located at 300 E. Main Street near downtown. Mayor John Gettys says the celebration will include appearances by the Sir Purr, the PurrCussion Drumline and the TopCats cheerleaders.

Governor Henry McMaster will also be in attendance for a ceremonial signing of the Professional Sports Team Incentive Act of 2019. The act is responsible for bringing the Carolina Panthers’ practice facility and headquarters to the area.

McMaster will be joined by City and State officials, as well as representatives from the Panthers organization.

The event is free and open to the public. Parking will be available at the Elizabeth Lane Parking Deck located at 116 S. Elizabeth Lane.
