Lancaster Man Faces Multiple Drug, Weapon Related Charges
LANCASTER, SC — A 38-year-old Lancaster County man is facing multiple charges after deputies executed search warrants at his home on Tuesday.
Deputies say Thomas Southerland was arrested on June 4th at his home on Shiloh Ranch Road in connection to several drug and weapons related offenses.
Agents reportedly went to Southerland’s home in search of a man wanted on several outstanding warrants. Deputies say Southerland allowed agents to search inside where they found possible evidence of illegal drug activity.
Search warrants were then obtained, officials say, and resulted in the seizure of three grams of Heroin, 11.52 grams of Cocaine, 17.93 grams of Methamphetamine, 283 grams of Marijuana, a smoking pipe, digital scales, a 12 gauge shotgun, a .22 caliber pistol and roughly $3,300 in cash.
Southerland was arrested and charged withΒ Trafficking Cocaine 10-28 Grams, Trafficking Methamphetamine 10-28 Grams, Possession with Intent to Distribute Heroin, Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana, and two counts of Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Violent Crime.
Sheriff Barry Faile said in a release, “Although we didnβt find the person we were looking for, we did discover a sizeable cache of illicit drugs, guns, and cash and made a significant drug arrest.”
