Three Arrested During Lancaster County Drug Bust

LANCASTER, SC — The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office says three people were arrested on nearly 50 drug related charges following a home search on May 30th.

Search warrants were reportedly executed at a home Old Pardue Road by agents with the LCSO Drug Task Force. Inside, agents say they found Heroin, Marijuana, 14 types of pills, four prescription medications, digital scales, a smoking pipe and a stolen 9mm pistol.

Officials say none of the prescriptions belonged to anyone in the house.

The LCSO says Kirkland Newton, 25, and Alyssa Arnett, 22, live at the home. A third suspect, Phillip Crenshaw, 48, was also present during the search.

All three suspects were arrested.

Newton and Arnett have each been charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute Heroin, Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana, 14 counts of Possession with Intent to Distribute various pills which are controlled substances, four counts of Possession of Prescription Drugs without a Prescription, and Possession of a Stolen Pistol.

Crenshaw is charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute Heroin, Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana, two counts of Possession with Intent to Distribute pills which are controlled substances, and Possession of a Stolen Pistol.

In a release from the LCSO, Sheriff Barry Faile said, “The variety of suspected illegal drugs found in this house is alarming. This illustrates the broad array of illicit substances which are available and the scope of the substance abuse problem in our communities. We are happy we were able to make these drugs unavailable to those who might have taken them.”
