Three Suspects Charged In String Of Charlotte Armed Robberies
CHARLOTTE, NC — Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department have charged three men accused of robbing businesses across the city.
Kylvin Jones, 21, Demondre Smith, 26, and Gerrell Hart-Smith, 18, have each been charged in connection to several armed robberies that took place between May 13th and June 4th.
Only one robbery resulted in an injury, according to CMPD. Police say a customer at the Express Mart on Nations Ford Road was “physically struck with a gun” during the robbery.

Jones and Hart-Smith were identified as suspects in all eight cases, according to CMPD, and Smith was identified as a suspect in all cases except the robbery on May 27th.
They each face multiple charges related to the robberies.
This is an ongoing investigation. CMPD says they are trying to determine if the suspects may have been involved in any other cases.
