Flash Flood Watch Continues

After a hectic weekend of heavy rain and storms, we’re gearing up for one more extreme day. Flash Flood Watch remains in effect until 9pm. Several areas under areal flood warnings, as well as a few river flood warnings. Still working on rainfall totals, but as of now one of the higher amounts I have seen is 15.5″ out of Boone, NC. We’ll get a day to catch our breath tomorrow with the rain, with another round of rain and storms moving in late Wednesday. After that things look much better with drier air on the way. Highs remain below average reaching the low 80s through Friday. Seasonable highs return this weekend.
