Victim Of Armed Robbery In Rock Hill Arrested Along With Suspects

ROCK HILL, S.C. — Police say they arrested the victim of an armed robbery along with the suspects who are accused of robbing the victim at knifepoint.

Officers with the Rock Hill Police Department were called to Bluff Court shortly before 9pm on June 11th in reference to an armed robbery.

The victim, Justin Mendenhall, told police he was robbed at knifepoint by three suspects who left the area in an older model blue Pontiac Bonneville.

The vehicle was located approximately five minutes later and police took Matthew Shelly Jr, McKenna Baird and Kenneth Hargett into custody.  All three were later charged with armed robbery, criminal conspiracy and possession of a weapon during a crime of violence.

During the course of the investigation, police say they determined the victim, Mendenhall, had a warrant for his arrest and say he was also in possession of meth.  Mendenhall was also arrested and booked at the York County Detention Center.
