CHARLOTTE, NC — Troopers have identified the woman killed early Thursday morning following an accident on I-85 north.
The accident happened around 8:30 a.m. during rush hour traffic. Troopers with the NCHP say Sarah Cade, 23, was driving a silver 2003 Toyota Camry at a high rate of speed when she crashed into the back of a tractor-trailer and got pinned underneath.
Official say the tractor-trailer was stopped in the right lane on I-85 northbound near Sam Wilson Road due to rush hour traffic.
Troopers say Cade was killed on impact.
