Suspect Wanted After Violent Lincolnton Home Invasion

LINCOLNTON, NC — Gaston County Police are looking for a suspect they say invaded a home at gunpoint over the weekend, tied the victim’s up and hit one of them in the face.

The crime happened shortly after midnight on Sunday, July 7th at a home on Starlight Drive. Police say one of the victims answered the door after hearing a knock and was met by the suspect.

The suspect, described as a man standing roughly six feet tall with a medium build, was reportedly armed with a gun and forced his way inside. Police say he restrained two of the victim’s family members and then rummaged through the victim’s bedroom.

At some point during the robbery, the suspect reportedly hit the victim in the face and stole $200 from his wallet.

The suspect tied the remaining victim up to a piece of lawn furniture on the back porch, police say, before taking off on foot.

GCPD says the suspect was wearing dark clothing and a “ski type mask.” Because of this, police say the suspect’s ethnicity is not known at this time.

Anyone with information on this case is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 704-861-8000 or Gaston County Police Department at 704-866-3300.
