Amtrak Train Involved In Accident With Tow Truck In North Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — An Amtrak train collided with a tow truck removing a car from the train tracks Friday morning in north Charlotte.

The accident occurred around 3:30 a.m. at the intersection of Mclean Road and Old Concord Road. Police say no one was injured.

The passenger train was reportedly traveling to New York and had just stopped in Charlotte.  The number of passengers on the train is unknown at this time.
