Subaru South Boulevard, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Partner To Deliver Hope to Levine Cancer Patients

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Subaru South Boulevard is supporting The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society by delivering warmth and hope to cancer patients as part of the Subaru Loves to Care initiative.

Team members with Subaru South Boulevard wrote personal messages of hope with those fighting cancer, as well as donating 85 blankets to local cancer patients.

On July 16th, over 100 messages of hope were delivered to patients at Levine Cancer Institute, along with the warm blankets by Subaru team members, representatives of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and a family impacted by their daughter Zoey’s cancer diagnosis.

Zoey was diagnosed with Pre B Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia on March 4th, 2016, when she was only four and a half-years-old.  Zoey is still undergoing treatments, but she says that messages and gestures of hope from others have helped her during her battle with cancer.  Zoey, her mother Beth, and sister Sierra, were happy to deliver joy to others undergoing a similar fight.

Over the last three years, as part of the Subaru Love Promise, Subaru and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society have partnered to reach more than 100,000 patients in nearly 700 hospitals, with assistance from over 500 Subaru dealerships nationwide.

The two local Subaru franchises have donated over 600 blankets since 2016 to patients at The Levine Cancer Institute in Charlotte and Concord.

Subaru South Boulevard has designated the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of NC , Charlotte Chapter, as a Subaru Share the Love partner in order to provide more support of organization’s mission to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.
