CMPD Arrests Suspect Wanted For Armed Robbery At East Charlotte Hotel

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police have arrested a man who the say robbed two people and assaulted one at an east Charlotte hotel earlier this week.

The CMPD says on Monday, July 15th, 2019, at about 9:38 p.m., officers responded to a robbery at the Greenleafe Inn on Monroe Road near the intersection of Sharon Amity Road.

According to investigators, a suspect robbed two men at gun point and hit one of the with victims the gun several times while they were in the hotel room.

Keontez Wadsworth

On Tuesday, July 16th ,2019, Detectives were able to identify the suspect as 19-year-old Keontez Dae’Sheaun Wadsworth.  On Wednesday, July 17th, 2019, officers were able to locate Wadsworth and apprehended him without incident.

Wadsworth is charged with Armed Robbery, Attempted Armed Robbery, two counts of Conspiracy to Commit Robbery, and one count of Assault with a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Injury.
