Woman Arrested In Connection With String Of Alexander County Vehicle Break-Ins

ALEXANDER COUNTY, N.C. — An Alexander County woman has been arrested a week after her boyfriend was arrested for a string of vehicle break-ins.

The Alexander County Sheriff’s Office has charged 33-year-old Ashly Renee Stone with 11 counts of Felony Breaking and Entering a Motor Vehicle, 11 counts of Misdemeanor Larceny After Breaking And Entering A Motor Vehicle, and one count of Felony Larceny of a Firearm.

Authorities say these charges are the result of an investigation into vehicle break-ins in the Bethlehem Community on July 7th and 8th, 2019.

Stone was given a $175,000 secured bond.

Officials say, Stone’s boyfriend, 37-year-old Ian Howell Mauck, was arrested on July 10th, 2019, in connection with the same crimes.
