Heat Continues, Big Changes Ahead
It may feel like a distant memory now, but 80s will return to the forecast.
We’re officially one month into astronomical summer and it certainly feels like it, as temperatures continue to top out in the mid-90s and heat indices burn into the triple digits. The heat will stick around to start our workweek, but there is light at the end of the tunnel. An expansive rainmaking system stretching from Texas to Maine will slouch into the southern US by midweek, bumping up rain chances and bringing much cooler air with it. Expect to see the coolest highs since mid-June come to our area by Tuesday.
