Lenoir Man Arrested After Shooting Monday Morning

LENOIR, NC — Police have charged a man in connection to a shooting that happened Monday morning.

Christopher Cabinet, 30, is accused of shooting 30-year-old Typhin Miles in the leg just after 11am on North Main Street. Investigators say the two men knew each other and this is an isolated incident.

Police say Miles was taken to Caldwell Memorial Hospital and then airlifted to CMC in Charlotte with serious injuries.

There is still no word on what may have led to the shooting.

Cabinet has been charged with Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill Inflicting Serious Injury as well as Possession of a Firearm by Convicted Felon.
