Mooresville Police Trying To Identify Tuesday Morning Bank Robber

MOORESVILLE, NC — Police are trying to identify the man they say robbed a bank Tuesday morning.

The robbery happened around 11:18am at the Fifth Third Bank on River Highway. Police say a man entered the bank, demanded money, and took off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect never displayed a weapon, according to officials.

Police say the suspect is described as a white male with a Scottish or English accent, in his early to mid-50s, about 5 feet 10 inches tall, slim build and grey goatee. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a dark colored poncho-type hoodie, gloves and sunglasses.

The suspect left on foot, according to reports, and then got into a blue vehicle. The vehicle is believed to be a Chevrolet Aveo or Cobalt passenger car with chrome trim around the trunk area.
