Moira Quinn: Firefighters Pancake Breakfast, Great American Cookie Crumble, and Free Yoga

13th Annual Firefighters Pancake Breakfast
Saturday, July 27

7th Street Public Market

The 7th Street Public Market and the Charlotte Fire Department are joining forces to benefit the NC Firefighters’ Burned Children Fund. Charlotte firefighters will be on-site cooking pancakes (plain or blueberry) for a $3.00 suggested donation for a kids’ plate and a $5.00 suggested donation for adults.
Firefighters will be serving pancakes from 8 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. (or until the batter lasts – pro-tip, get there early!). To-go boxes are available. All proceeds from the breakfast go directly to the Firefighters’ Burned Children’s Fund- Charlotte Mecklenburg Chapter.

Great American Cookie Crumble
Saturday, August 3

7th Street Public Market

90 cookies! Pro and amateur divisions. Pick the best cookies in the center city. Come watch, taste, and vote for YOUR favorite cookie from local the best local bakeries and Charlotteans just like you. It is free for all and all are welcome. With activities for kids, live music, entertainment for all ages and even beer and cookie pairings, this will be fun for anyone. There is even a surprise guest, and self-proclaimed cookie expert, judging the amateur competition.

Free Yoga on the Trail with the King of Pops

Join us for year 2 of King of Pops Charlotte’s Free Yoga taught by Bekah Coggins of Okra, with assists from Sarah Cousar of YogaONE. Open to all ages and levels of experience!
Find us at 1pm Sundays on the Rail Trail, right by Spectrum South End Apartments on the dog run between the Light Rail and Hawkins Street. Look for Rainbow Umbrella, and come ready to get bendy and find some post-brunch peace of mind.
Each month, we’ll be highlighting a local nonprofit or other organization doing good work right here in the Queen City.
Street parking along Hawkins and Dunavant, and we’re right down the trail from New Bern Station and East/West Station .Bring a mat or towel, some water, and a few friends.
