Hot and Toasty Start to Week

Kicking off the work week on a hot note with temps reaching the low 90s this afternoon. Smidge more mugginess will make it feel slightly uncomfortable for late afternoon, but not completely unbearable. Enjoy it. Dew points will be back in the upper 60s by mid to late week. One word of caution for those who suffer from asthma or lung disorders. An air quality alert has been issued for much of the area from 10am until 8pm on Monday. Try to limit your time outdoors, or at the very least take plenty of breaks. Rain and storm chances will remain minimal with the best shot at a spotty shower for the higher elevations. All of that will chance by mid-week as an approaching boundary will stall out north of the area. This will allow for some unsettled weather to develop with storm chances increasing. Highs will be slightly cooler by Friday with temps only reaching the mid 80s.
