CMPD Asking For Assistance Identifying Attempted Armed Robbery Suspect

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The CMPD is asking for assistance identifying a man wanted for the attempted armed robbery of a northeast Charlotte convenience store.

On July 19th around 2 a.m., police say the suspect entered the 7-Eleven on Old Concord Road near the intersection of Rocky River Road, demanded money from the store, and threatened the clerk before fleeing on foot.

The suspect is described as light skinned black male, about 5’10” tall, wearing a red hoodie, white shorts, and black and white sneakers.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call 911.  The public can also leave an anonymous tip by calling Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
