Storms to Close Weekend, Start Week Ahead

The week ahead starts out wet, but drier conditions return later on.

The unsettled pattern we’ve seen for the better part of a week continues into the workweek, but much drier conditions return by Wednesday. Increased moisture will provide plenty of fuel for storms to fire up for your Monday afternoon, but the rainmaking system that’s been taking its time moving through the Carolinas will finally move offshore by midweek, leaving us with more pleasant weather. Highs for the next several days will flirt with 90° and lows will be the upper 60s and lower 70s. Unfortunately, dew points will also hang in the upper 60s and lower 70s, which could make things downright uncomfortable for those of us outside for the first half of the week ahead.

Monday: Mostly cloudy with afternoon showers and storms. High 88°. Light wind.

Monday Night: Storms early, then mostly clear. Low 68°. Light wind.

Tuesday: Warmer and sunnier. Slight chance of an afternoon storm. High 90°. Light wind.
