Mooresville Man Arrested On Multiple Drug Related Charges
MOORESVILLE, NC — The Iredell County Sheriff’s Office has charged 29-year-old Christopher Zamarripa with multiple felony drug related charges.
Authorities investigated Zamarripa for several weeks during the month of July after receiving information saying he was distributing Marijuana “Wax” throughout the Mooresville/Lake Norman area. Investigators say they were able to purchase roughly 64 grams of “Wax” during that time and estimated its value at around $1,600.
The ICSO Narcotics Unit executed search warrants on Zamarripa’s apartment on Michigan Drive on August 1st and say they found roughly 74 grams of additional “Wax” with an estimated value of $1,850.
Sheriff Campbell says, “This type of cannabis/marijuana wax is one of the most sought-after concentrates due to the highest quality versions contain a THC content that’s equivalent to 15-20
marijuana cigarettes. While there are marijuana plant strains available with a THC content up to 30 percent, many of these wax concentrates contain over 90 percent THC.”
Zamarripa is charged with four felony counts of Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver a Schedule VI Controlled Substance, three felony counts of Sell or Distribute a Schedule VI Controlled Substance, felony Maintaining a Dwelling to Sell or Use a Controlled Substance and misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
