Splendid Sunny Finish to Week
After long last, the dry times are here to close out the week.
The rain is finally gone! After soaking showers and storms rolled through the Charlotte area for three straight days, we are finally in the clear. (Literally.) Mostly sunny skies and minimal rain chances will see us through the remainder of the week. The heat is sticking around, but it will feel much better outside Thursday and Friday due to lower humidity. This beautiful weather is thanks to a cold front that slowly pushed its way through our neck of the woods earlier today, bringing a much more settled pattern to the forefront. Enjoy it! The rain chances and the humidity slowly build back up once we get to this weekend and beyond.
Note: A Code Orange Air Quality Alert has been issued until 8 PM for much of Greater Charlotte, including Lincoln, Gaston, Mecklenburg, Union, Cabarrus, Rowan, and Iredell counties. Those of us with respiratory issues may be particularly affected outside today.
Tonight: Storms clearing out early. Low 68°. Light wind.
Friday: Mostly sunny. Hot. High 94°. SW 5-10
Friday Night: Mild and mostly clear. Low 70°. Light wind.
Saturday: Partly sunny. Slight chance of a PM shower/storm. High 93°. Wind: NE 5-10
