Man Accused Of Using Pepper Spray During Robberies Wanted In York County
Authorities say they arrested a man accused of using pepper spray to rob several businesses in the Lake Wylie area of York County.
Vladimir Lynch, 42, was arrested in Charlotte on August 15th. Lynch was booked into the Mecklenburg County Detention Center on charges related to the robberies listed below. Police say more charges may be pending.

YORK COUNTY, S.C. — The York County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information on two armed robberies in the Lake Wylie area in which the suspect used pepper spray as a weapon to assault victims then rob the businesses.
On Friday, August 2, 2019, at 8:30 PM, the suspect is accused of walking into the Pet Sense store, located at 221 Latitude Ln, Lake Wylie, SC and going to the register to make a purchase. He reportedly handed the employee a $5 bill. As the employee opened the register drawer, the suspect is accused of pepper spraying her and grabbing money from the register drawer.
On Tuesday, August 6, at approximately 4:15 AM, the same suspect reportedly walked into the Waffle House, located at 5013 Charlotte Hwy. Deputies say he ordered a beverage, and the employee gave it to him without cost. He is then accused of leaving the establishment momentarily, re-entering and ordering a burger. Deputies say he gave the employee a $5 bill and when she opened the register, he pepper sprayed her, and grabbed the money from the register. He then pepper sprayed the cook, according to a news release.
The suspect left the area in a dark in color sedan possibly a Nissan Maxima. The vehicle was occupied by a black female passenger.
