Panthers Wrap Up Productive Training Camp
Panthers Finish Strong, Ending Camp After Joint Practice With Bills
The Panthers finish strong in Spartanburg, hitting the field for what could be the final time at Wofford College.
After three long weeks of work, the Panthers put their 25th training camp in the books. Hundreds of fans were there to watch as they practiced with the Buffalo Bills for the second straight day. No fights, but plenty of focus as both teams worked together and against each other ahead of Friday’s preseason game.
Ron Rivera did not play his starters in the preseason opener against the Bears, but anticipates most of them to see action in week 2 against the Bills. The Panthers head coach would not say if that included his starting quarterback. Cam Newton fully participated in both joint practices against the Bills.
Overall, it was a productive training camp for the Panthers. Players were forced to bring the energy and stay focused as they wrapped up the final day competing against another team.
