Justin Bieber Gets Real About Fame, Drugs and What Inspired Him to Turn His Life Around
A lot of people are praising Justin Bieber for opening up about his struggles in the spotlight.
Bieber says he spiraled out of control because of his childhood fame.
He opened up about it in a new Instagram post.
The pop star says he lived in an unstable home before he was discovered on YouTube at the age of 13.
He says the pressure led to heavy drug use by the time he turned 19, around the same time he was famously arrested.
In the lengthy Instagram post, Bieber wrote: “Have u noticed the statistics of child stars and the outcome of their life?
There is an insane pressure and responsibility put on a child whose brain, emotions, frontal lobes (decision making) aren’t developed yet.”
He also wrote: “By 20, I made every bad decision you could have thought of and went from one of the most loved and adored people in the world to the most ridiculed, judged, and hated person in the world.”
So what has changed?
Bieber has recently found faith and he’s gotten married.
He praises his wife Haley Baldwin in the Instagram post, calling his marriage the ‘best season’ of his life and he tells his followers ‘when the odds are against you, keep fighting. Jesus loves you.’
