SC Boy Uses Disney Money to Help Dorian Evacuees
ALLENDALE, SC — A little boy in South Carolina gave up a trip to Disney World to help Hurricane Dorian evacuees.
Six-year-old Jermaine Bell lives in Allendale. His birthday is this weekend. He’d been saving money for a trip to Disney, but decided to use it to buy hot dogs, chips and water for evacuees, putting out signs and handing out the food along a highway.
“The people that are traveling to go to other places, I wanted them to have some food to eat, so they can enjoy the ride to the place that they’re going to stay at,” said Jermaine.
Jermaine fed over 100 people. Disney representatives heard about what he did, and they expressed interest in finding a way to make his Disney dream come true.
