CHESTER, S.C. — The Chester Police Department is investigating a deadly shooting. Officers were called to the area of York Street and Brawley Street on September 3rd in reference to shots being fired.
A short time later, officers were notified that a victim from the shooting was at MUSC Chester. The victim, 36-year-old Andrew Johnson, was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Police Chief Eric Williams says the investigation is still underway and no arrests have been made at this time. Anyone with information on this shooting is asked to call the Chester Police Department at 803-581-2677.
