Cam Newton Feels Like A Rookie Again, In A Good Way

Newton Feeling Good Physically And Mentally As He Enters 9th NFL Season

Cam Newton wants to make it clear. Right now, he’s taking it one game at a time, and it starts this Sunday when the Panthers host the Rams.

“At this particular point in time right now, I want to say it publicly — I could care less about the Super Bowl.  I’m just trying to become 1-and-0,” the quarterback stated when he addressed the media on Wednesday.

The team returned to the practice field as they get ready to take on the defending NFC Champions. The Panthers released their first official injury report of the season which included two names: Bruce Irvin (hamstring) and Greg Little (concussion). Neither player practiced.

The big news was that Newton’s name was no where to be found. The quarterback has been limited after undergoing a procedure on his throwing shoulder and most recently with a sprained foot.

QB1 continues to make strides and had another good day, fully participating in practice.

The 30 year old says he’s feeling good, feeling like a rookie again, both physically and mentally as he enters his 9th season in the NFL.
