Summer Far from Finished

Highs will be 5-10° above average this week.

We’re officially only two weeks away from fall, but you wouldn’t know it just by looking at the forecast. Temperatures over the next several days will cruise well into the 90s; we could even see near-record heat to close out the week. The humidity will only make things worse, as dew points remain in the sticky range in the mid-to-upper 60s. Heat indices on Monday could be flirting with the triple digits, so be sure to stay hydrated and take plenty of outdoor breaks during the afternoon. Despite the increased humidity, storm chances will be meager at best throughout the week ahead.

Monday: Hot and stagnant. Heat indices approach 100°. High 94°. Wind: Light.

Sunday Night: Another muggy night. Low: 70°. Wind: SE 5-10.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny. Isolated PM storms. High 92°. Wind: NE 5-10.
