Trump Administration Considering Banning Flavored E-Cigarettes
The Trump administration is planning to ban flavored e-cigarettes. Under a new enforcement policy expected in the coming weeks, all flavored e-cigarettes other than tobacco flavor will have to be removed from the shelves. The products would remain off the market unless they become approved by the FDA. Six people in the United States have died from lung disease possibly linked to vaping. At least 450 others are sick.
Third Democratic Debate Tonight in Houston
The top democratic presidential candidates will face off tonight in Houston for the party’s third debate. Only 10 of the 20 candidates were able to meet the party’s polling and donor requirements. This debate will be the first to feature both Joe Biden and top rival Elizabeth Warren.
General Motors Recalling Nearly 3.5 Million Trucks and SUV’s
General Motors is recalling nearly three and a half million pickup trucks and s-u-v’s over a break problem. The recalled models include the Cadillac Escalade, GMC Yukon and Sierra as well as Chevrolet’s Silverado, Suburban and Tahoe. All of the recalled cars were made between 20-14 and 20-18. GM says dealers will fix the problem for free.
President Trump Postponing Chinese Tariffs
President Trump announced Wednesday that the increased tariffs on China that were scheduled to go into effect on October 1st, will now be delayed until October 15th. Trump says he made the announcement quote “as a gesture of good will,”. The tariffs will raise an existing 25 percent tariff on $250 billion dollars in Chinese imports to 30 percent.
Panthers Take on Buccaneers at Bank of American Stadium Tonight
The Carolina Panthers will host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers tonight in their first prime time game of the season. Both teams are coming off week one losses. Kickoff is at 8:20.
