90s Return, Relief in Sight
After another affair with the heat, more manageable highs could arrive by midweek.
The heat returns in full force to close out the weekend into the week ahead, as highs hang around 90°. Pop-up showers and storms are possible for the next couple of days, although most of us will suffer under mostly sunny skies and stifling heat index values. Feels-like temperatures will hang around the mid-90s through Tuesday. It’s not all bad news, though, as a robust rainmaking system makes its way through the Carolinas by Wednesday afternoon, bringing increased rain chances and much cooler temperatures behind it. Later on this coming week, highs may struggle to get out of the 70s while lows plummet into the 50s, The humidity takes a dive as well. Only eight days to go until fall!
