Cam Newton’s status for Sunday is still unclear.
He didn’t practice Tuesday.
The team says Cam re-aggravated a foot injury during Thursday night’s loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
He originally sprained his left foot during the Panthers’ third preseason game against the New England Patriots.
On Tuesday, Panthers head coach Ron Rivera would not say how long cam could be out.
“I have no idea,” Rivera said. “He’s gonna get his treatment, and we’ll see how he feels and we’ll adjust it as we go through it.”
Now there is a chance that Cam won’t play against the Arizona Cardinals this weekend and back-up Kyle Allen will start instead, but we won’t know until the Panthers release an injury report on Wednesday.
