Deadline For Back-To-School Immunizations Is Now

MECKLENBURG COUNTY, NC – Believe it or not, (most) Mecklenburg County students have been back in school for 30 days as of today. That means, the deadline for back-to-school immunizations is now.

North Carolina law mandates that all school-aged children be up-to-date with certain shots in order to attend school. Children who do not provide proof of the minimum required immunizations within 30 days after the first day of school (Sept. 25 for most Mecklenburg County students) may be excluded.

To make sure your child has the best shot at a healthy school year, Mecklenburg County Public Health is offering extended clinic hours and more appointments for back-to-school immunizations over the next two days. To make an appointment, call 704-301-7618. Walk-ins appointments will be accepted.
