FORT MILL, SC — Police have arrested and charged four Charlotte teens accused of breaking into 22 vehicles early Monday morning.
The crimes were reported around 4am at the Berkshire Apartments on Paddock Lane. Officials say the suspects broke out the windows in 22 cars throughout the parking area before police arrived.
Arriving officers say they witnessed two suspects running from the area, and located one of their vehicles in the parking lot. That vehicle was reportedly stolen out of Charlotte.
A second suspect vehicle, which was also seen leaving the area, was later located and stopped by Tega Cay Police and deputies with the York County Sheriff’s Office.
Officials say multiple suspects were taken into custody during that stop, including the suspects seen escaping on foot.
The suspects included one male and two female juveniles, as well as 19-year-old Tina Frick. All of the suspects are from Charlotte, police say, and are being held at the York County Detention Center.
Police say multiple warrants are pending against Frick, and criminal petitions are pending against the juveniles.
