Girl Scouts Host Food Drive To Benefit Second Harvest Food Bank Of Metrolina

MATTHEWS, N.C. — The Girl Scouts Hornets’ Nest is hosting a food drive that will benefit the Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina.

Members of the Girl Scouts will be dropping off bags in select neighborhoods in Mecklenburg County, Union County, Cabarrus County and Stanly County on October 5th.  The Girl Scouts will then come back on October 12th at 9 AM to collect the filled bags.

Girl Scout Food Drive Collection Sites:

If you want to donate food but you didn’t get a bag dropped off at your house, you can bring your non-perishable food items to Cross & Crown Lutheran Church at 300 Pineville-Matthews Road on October 12th between 10 AM – 1 PM.

WCCB’s CW Street Team will be at the church to collect your donations.

Monetary donations are also needed. Donations will go directly to Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina.
