Penn State Player Gets Letter Criticizing His Hair

The head football coach at Penn State University is calling out an alumnus, who shamed one of his players. Safety, Jonathan Sutherland got a letter from someone upset with his appearance. It said: “watching the game on TV, we couldn’t help but notice your awful hair.”

The letter also said: “Your shoulder length dreadlocks look disgusting.”

Penn State Coach, James Franklin responded Tuesday, saying football brings people together and embraces differences.

The situation has reminded people of an instance years ago when a wrestler was forced to cut his dreads in order to compete.
