4 Arrested In Iredell County Prostitution Sting

IREDELL COUNTY, NC — The Statesville Police Department and Iredell County Sheriff’s Office have arrested four suspects following a joint prostitution operation.

The October 4th operation resulted from numerous citizen complaints throughout the community.

The following four suspects have been arrested and charged as a result of the sting:

  • Rashonda Denise McCathery was arrested for solicitation of prostitution and possession of drug paraphernalia and received a $3,000.00 secured bond
  • Shana Nicole Harmon was arrested for solicitation of prostitution, felony possession of cocaine and simple possession of marijuana and received a $5,000.00 secured bond.
  • Tammie Turner Burchfield was arrested for solicitation of prostitution and possession of drug paraphernalia and received a $1,500.00 secured bond.
  • Michael Lamar Morrison was arrested for solicitation of prostitution and received a $1,000.00 secured bond.

“This is the first of many joint operations involving both agencies to reduce crime in the Statesville community,” Statesville Police said in a news release Friday morning. “We look forward to conducting more joint operations with the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office to improve the quality of life for the residents of Statesville.”
