4 Suspects Charged In East Charlotte Home Invasion, Armed Robbery
CHARLOTTE, NC — CMPD says four suspects have been charged in connection to an east Charlotte robbery early Wednesday afternoon.
Reshawn Cook, 21, Hezekiah Hairston, 19, Freddy Cortes, 20, and Angel Hernandez, 21, are accused of breaking into a home on Regal Estate Lane around 12:55pm and robbing the victims inside.
The victims told authorities three suspects were armed with guns and wearing masks when they broke into the home. The suspects reportedly took cash, marijuana and a Playstation before taking off.
CMPD says Hairston was identified due to an electronic monitor he was wearing at the time of the crime, which placed him at the scene. All suspects were reportedly located at an apartment on Tara Lane, along with a vehicle matching the suspect’s escape vehicle description.
Inside the apartment, investigators also say they found the stolen cash, marijuana and Playstation.
All four suspects have been charged with Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon, Breaking and Entering, 2nd Degree Kidnapping and Conspiracy to Commit Armed Robbery.
