Police Update Description Of Man Who Allegedly Tried To Abduct Two Girls From Bus Stop

ROCK HILL, S.C. — Rock Hill Police say they are investigating an attempted abduction of two girls who were walking home from their bus stop.

Officers were called to Patriot Parkway near Eden Terrace shortly after 4pm on October 15th.  A woman told officers that a man approached her daughter and niece, grabbed one of the girl’s backpacks and then asked them if they wanted to go to a park, according to a news release.

Police say the girls were able to get away from the man once he let go of the book bag.

The suspect is described as being a black male, possibly in his 60’s, around 5’5,” 200lbs, slick black and grey hair with some curls in the back. Police say his clothing was described as being a uniform with a black collard shirt with writing similar to a business logo on the front, khaki pants and Nike shoes.

The man was reportedly driving a burgundy SUV style vehicle.  Anyone with information on this attempted abduction is asked to call 911 immediately.  No other information has been released at this time.
